Hosted by an iconic building in Wrocław (the ex bus-depot of the city, where the local Solidarity movement was established, in August 1980), this Center is a hub of contemporary history. The space fulfills the role of a museum, publishing house, and not the least, platform for debates. The pictures below are part of the interactive exhibition dedicated to communism in Poland. These are objects of everyday life during Jaruzelski time (and earlier), including items of toiletry, home appliances and home design, media and pop culture. The only minus of the enterprise is the exclusive focus on Polish communism, without any hint to similar Czech or Hungarian trends of the time.
