Historian with eclectic interests, ranging from the everyday life of a Galician shtetl to Britpop of the 90s. Here, I will post mainly reviews or news about books, and impressions about things and places I consider worth sharing. I hope the latter will not be common places. My preferred topics are: the construction of the national/regional Eastern and Central European identity via literature and travel writings; image and self-image construction in the said geographic area; urban environment and daily life up to WWI; the so-called creative industries in contemporary Eastern and Central Europe.
